Bank Negara Malaysia has just announced that the minimum annual income requirement to qualify for for a credit card has been raised to RM24,000 from RM18,000. Not only that, if you earn less than RM36K per year, you can only have cards from two different issuers and your credit limit cannot be more than 2X your monthly income.
